What is SHR?

SHR is different from traditional IPL hair removal, it uses a frequency between 1~ 10Hz at appropriate low energy level that accumulates to reach the energy level required to remove hair. SHR works by gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicle and prevent re-growth, without injuiring surrounding tissue. SHR combines high average power, low fluence and high repetition rate, gradually inscreasing the temperature of hair follicle by stacking the laser pulses.






What is RF?

Based on the scientific term Radiofrequency (RF), radiofrequency treatment is a non-surgical means of “reshaping” the body and the face from beneath the superficial layer of the skin. This method uses sophisticated devices specifically designed to treat men and women’s most common skin aging problems like wrinkles, excess fatty tissues, or cellulite.

The method utilizes radiofrequency waves which is basically heat energy meant for tissue remodeling and production of elastin and new collagen.

1. What to do after your treatment?

You must have no sun exposure for 14 days after your treatment.

It can take 2 weeks for the hair to fall out completely and many clients find an exfoliating towel very helpful.

2. What does the client feel during treatment?

Treatment with SHR is practically painless as opposed to treatment with the conventional IPL devices. On areas with dense hair growth, warmth from the light impulses is evoked and the light impulses may be felt to a much lesser extent than with laser or IPL.

3. How many treatments are necessary?

Until now hair had to be treated during the growing phase (20%-30%). In the telogen phase stem cells are in a resting phase but can still successfully be treated with the SHR system. Since growth cycles vary, approx. 3-6 treatments are usually necessary.
